Camp leadership
Executive Director
Max
Max has led Camp Livingston since 2017, after serving as Development Director and, before that, on the Board of Directors. His involvement goes back to 1993, when he arrived as a camper — later a counselor, lake director, and senior staff member. He holds a B.A. from Wilmington College.
Camp Director
Abby
Abby has spent 21 summers at Livingston, starting as a Golan camper and holding several senior staff roles. She came on full time in 2016 from the Mayerson JCC, where she was Teen Coordinator, and was promoted to Camp Director in 2022. She studied Human Development and Family Science at Ohio State.
Associate Director
Blake
Blake grew up in Columbus and spent seven years at Livingston as a camper and two on seasonal staff, as Unit Head and Inclusion Coordinator. She holds a B.A. from the University of Michigan and is completing a Master of Social Work at Ohio State, with experience at Nationwide Children’s Hospital Behavioral Health.
Assistant Director, Development & Operations
Ethan
Ethan grew up in Cincinnati and started at Livingston at eight years old. He has been a counselor, Ropes Director, and AU Unit Head. He graduated from Miami University in Political Science with a minor in Community-Based Leadership, where he developed a lasting admiration for nonprofit work.
Assistant Director, Programming & Retreats
Brad
Brad’s camp career began at 17 in outdoor education and adventure course work. After the University of Akron he facilitated group therapy through adventure courses at a youth center, then spent years travelling the country building courses and training staff. He brings 17 years of experience to Livingston.
Facilities Director
Matt
Matt is the fourth generation of the Clark family to serve as Facility Director at Camp Livingston, a legacy stretching back to 1970. He brings deep experience in facilities operations and team leadership, and volunteers locally as a youth wrestling coach and mentor.
Camper care
Trained, licensed, and here around the clock
The Camper Care Team — two nurses/doctors and two licensed social workers — is available 24 hours a day. Our social workers are experts in child development and coach campers through the ordinary challenges of a summer away from home.
